A novel practical observer that mitigates the classical trade-off between transient peaking and steady-state estimation error is presented. The proposed extrapolation-based observer consists of multiple practical observers, whose gains are suitably chosen, and fuses their outputs using the Richardson extrapolation formula. The effectiveness of this observer is analytically studied and is validated using a chaotic system from the literature.

Abstract
A novel practical observer that mitigates the classical trade-off between transient peaking and steady-state estimation error is presented. The proposed extrapolation-based observer consists of multiple practical observers, whose gains are suitably chosen, and fuses their outputs using the Richardson extrapolation formula. The effectiveness of this observer is analytically studied and is validated using a chaotic system from the literature.File in questo prodotto:
