This paper presents and discusses the results of the experimentation of six learning scenarios on media and intercultural education in three European countries. The learning scenarios have been implemented in the context of the EC-funded project Media Education for equity and tolerance in 2016-18. They are theoretically informed by the Media and Intercultural Education Framework (MIEF) and their design is based on MEET Guidelines for inclusive and situated learning. All learning scenarios encompass activities of both media analysis and production but each of them focuses on specific – and often different – media (social networks, movies, videogames, radio, news media) and topics (human rights, media stereotyping, cultural diversity, racism, social justice). The analysis of results led to identify learning scenarios’ affordances and constrains and to outline some recommendations for scaling-up. Specifically, the recommendations shed light on the benefits of a cooperative and action-oriented training addressing teachers and educators, as well as of critical approach to media and intercultural education delivered to young citizens with multicultural and/or disadvantaged socio-economic backgrounds.
