Multigap superconductivity has been discussed since the 1950's. Nevertheless, the topic remained essentially speculative until 2001, when for the first time multigap superconductivity has been demonstrated to take place in a real material, as MgB(2). In the last few years evidence of multigap superconductivity has been claimed for several different classes of superconductors. Thanks to the high brightness of THz synchrotron radiation we addressed multiband superconductivity on two model systems: The prototype multiband superconductor MgB(2) and the A-15 superconductor V(3)Si.

Abstract
Multigap superconductivity has been discussed since the 1950's. Nevertheless, the topic remained essentially speculative until 2001, when for the first time multigap superconductivity has been demonstrated to take place in a real material, as MgB(2). In the last few years evidence of multigap superconductivity has been claimed for several different classes of superconductors. Thanks to the high brightness of THz synchrotron radiation we addressed multiband superconductivity on two model systems: The prototype multiband superconductor MgB(2) and the A-15 superconductor V(3)Si.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
