Abstract

Irreversibility appears at the microscopic level in radiative phenomena, decoherence, CP violation. Radiation interactions of single atoms are discussed by Walther. A scheme providing optical evidence of macroscopic quantum interference and the associated decoherence are discussed by Arecchi and Montina. Accardi and Kozyrev discuss decoherence of systems coupled with a bosonic field in terms of the stochastic limit. A new view of CP violation as symmetry breaking of antieigenvectors is proposed by Gustafson.
