A novel (SO(3)) analysis of anisotropies in Solar Wind turbulence (Ulysses) shows the absence of a complete recovery of isotropy in magnetic field fluctuations at the smallest scales and persistence of intermittent, anisotropic contributions. Quantities mixing isotropic and anisotropic fluctuations, such as longitudinal structure functions, may thus be affected by uncontrolled errors.

Abstract
A novel (SO(3)) analysis of anisotropies in Solar Wind turbulence (Ulysses) shows the absence of a complete recovery of isotropy in magnetic field fluctuations at the smallest scales and persistence of intermittent, anisotropic contributions. Quantities mixing isotropic and anisotropic fluctuations, such as longitudinal structure functions, may thus be affected by uncontrolled errors.File in questo prodotto:
