A family of GaAs monolithic front-end amplifiers, to be used in a large number of applications in present and future radiation detection experimental apparatus, is described in this paper. Design, realization and measurements are presented for MMICs especially designed for front-ends for RPC and GaAs cosmic ray detectors, among which a logarithmic amplifier, fiber optic and cable front-ends for data transmissions up to 2.5Gbit/s, including ultra-fast pulse amplifiers up to 5Gbit/s.
