DRP1-dependent mitochondrial fission is crucial in orchestrating processes determining T cell efficiency and life, as well as an efficient immune-surveillance. In this scenario, we showed how PD1-dependent exhaustion on T cells affects mitochondrial fragmentation through DRP1 inhibition, so downregulating T cell anti-tumoral activity in solid tumor microenvironment. We are dissecting new molecular mechanisms and targets, with the aim of therapeutically improve T cell tumoral defense. Abstract
