This paper presents a C-Ku band Non-Uniform Distributed Power Amplifier (NDPA) operating between 4 - 18 GHz. The challenging design approach aims to optimize the gain-bandwidth (GBW) product, providing a remarkable average output power above 10 W with an associated average power added efficiency (PAE) equal to 18.5 % over the entire operative range of frequencies. The NDPA provides also a challenging average linear gain of 14.5 dB with a marked corresponding gain-bandwidth product when compared to the state of the art. The MMIC NDPA has been designed and fabricated using 0.25 mu m AlGaN/GaN HEMT process provided by Leonardo foundry.

Abstract
This paper presents a C-Ku band Non-Uniform Distributed Power Amplifier (NDPA) operating between 4 - 18 GHz. The challenging design approach aims to optimize the gain-bandwidth (GBW) product, providing a remarkable average output power above 10 W with an associated average power added efficiency (PAE) equal to 18.5 % over the entire operative range of frequencies. The NDPA provides also a challenging average linear gain of 14.5 dB with a marked corresponding gain-bandwidth product when compared to the state of the art. The MMIC NDPA has been designed and fabricated using 0.25 mu m AlGaN/GaN HEMT process provided by Leonardo foundry.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
