The study of network governance is increasingly recognized for its potential to enhance efficiency through decentralized problem-solving and collective solutions, especially in the face of globalization and rapid change (Wang and Ran, 2023). It reflects significant transformations in public administration over the past two decades, marked by fragmented authorities and complex challenges that require collaborative efforts (Sørensen et al., 2021). This research identifies established and emerging themes in network governance, emphasizing the need for deeper exploration of governance innovations, the growing role of non-governmental organizations, and the integration of technology in governance practices.

Abstract

The study of network governance is increasingly recognized for its potential to enhance efficiency through decentralized problem-solving and collective solutions, especially in the face of globalization and rapid change (Wang and Ran, 2023). It reflects significant transformations in public administration over the past two decades, marked by fragmented authorities and complex challenges that require collaborative efforts (Sørensen et al., 2021). This research identifies established and emerging themes in network governance, emphasizing the need for deeper exploration of governance innovations, the growing role of non-governmental organizations, and the integration of technology in governance practices.
