This study analyzes the E-Family program (2021-2025) in Lazio, Italy, financed by the ESF+, as a case of policies supporting families and promoting work-life balance. Integrating ISTAT data on declining Italian and Lazio birth rates (2020-2024) with program documentation, the research examines the initiative's potential to build a sustainable and inclusive Welfare State. Findings suggest that, while E-Family aligns with EU objectives, its impact on reversing demographic decline is uncertain, since there still is a negative trend both at a National and Regional level.
