The growth of 5G bands at mm-wave is enabled by the availability of high sensitivity receivers. This abstract addresses theoretical and practical aspects of receiver front-end design focusing on the role of the Low-Noise Amplifier. Key-enabling technologies are presented and discussed focusing on III-V semiconductor technologies. Finally, future trend in terms of multi-function integration at mm-wave are outlined.
