Reflecting by faith. Rationality of the religious and hermeneutical tensions between anthropology, theoretical physics, and Catholic theology

What I want to contribute is actually quite ambitious and has to do with the relationship between common sense, rational thought and religious faith. At least in Italy, the conviction that rational thought and religious faith are in intimate contradiction is still dominant in common sense, and that this contradiction is all the more evident the more faith is practised in 'traditional' ways, i.e. in the Catholic form. I would like to touch upon this issue from an Italian perspective, that is, from the point of view of a country that for self-evident historical reasons has a complicated relationship with Catholicism, made to coincide with the religious institution.
