This paper describes the activities carried out at the FACE-RC laboratory with regard to the design and development of an antenna subsystem suitable for the reception of DBS signals in the 11.7-12.5-GHz frequency band. The antenna subsystem essentially consists of a parabolic reflector, a 90-deg corrugated feedhorn, and a dielectric-slab polarizer. It receives the incoming circularly polarized wave and converts it into a linearly polarized signal which is processed by the subsequent microstrip amplifier stages. Both theoretical and experimental results are shown for component and for the whole antenna. The performance meets both the WARC-77 and the Italian PTT specifications in all respects.

Abstract
The performance meets both the WARC-77 and the Italian PTT specifications in all respects.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
