Metropolitan City of Florence, together with the Superintendence for Archeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the Metropolitan city of Florence and the provinces of Pistoia and Prato (SABAP), and with the University of Florence, Department of Earth Sciences (UNIFI- DST), proposed an experimental diagnostic construction site for the conservation and restoration of Palazzo Medici Riccardi’s Pietraforte façades. These project is structured in four phases, the first two that involving the diagnostic investigations and the experimentations with Non-Destructive Techniques and new conservation materials, the third and the fourth that concern the restoration design, setting the functional and the structural project, conservation project and enhancement of cultural heritage.

Abstract
