Abstract
Alterations in the temperature and humidity conditions inside the pharmaceutical packages can cause serious damage to the pills that are contained inside. For this reason, environmental control directly at the item level is a necessity, which can be enabled thanks to the UHF RFID technology. This work presents the design and optimization of a helical antenna, compatible with insertion into a capsule, similar to common drugs, but capable of simultaneously measuring temperature and humidity. A first prototype was built and characterized electromagnetically, demonstrating a reading distance of up to 55 cm in passive mode and with a common RFID reader.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
