This paper presents the design and characterization of circularly polarized (CP) pattern reconfigurable flexible antenna for 5G-sub-6GHz applications. The antenna consists of CPW fed rectangular stub loaded semi-circular monopole antenna designed for wideband applications. Afterword, two rectangular stubs along with pin diodes were utilized to achieve pattern reconfigurability. The antenna offers compact size, CP, pattern reconfigurability along with flexibility to be used in flexible devices operating in 5G mid-band.

Abstract

This paper presents the design and characterization of circularly polarized (CP) pattern reconfigurable flexible antenna for 5G-sub-6GHz applications. The antenna consists of CPW fed rectangular stub loaded semi-circular monopole antenna designed for wideband applications. Afterword, two rectangular stubs along with pin diodes were utilized to achieve pattern reconfigurability. The antenna offers compact size, CP, pattern reconfigurability along with flexibility to be used in flexible devices operating in 5G mid-band.
