Preliminary experimental results obtained using a commercial X-band radar to detect drones are described. Trials were carried out on April 1st 2017 at the “Tor Vergata” University in Rome with the aim to compare the drone’s echo to those coming from known reflectors in order to estimate the radar visibility of the drone.
