In the present study mechanical performances of injection molded photoluminescent polymers were statistically modelled by applying Weibull distribution. The mechanical properties of samples made of polypropylene (PP) functionalized with photoluminescentpigments were evaluated by performing FIMEC (Flat-top Cylinder Indenter for Mechanical Characterization) test. This technique, based on the use of a flat cylinder penetrating at a constant rate into the material, allowed the authors to evaluate the local mechanical properties, according to pigment concentration.

Abstract
In the present study mechanical performances of injection molded photoluminescent polymers were statistically modelled by applying Weibull distribution. The mechanical properties of samples made of polypropylene (PP) functionalized with photoluminescentpigments were evaluated by performing FIMEC (Flat-top Cylinder Indenter for Mechanical Characterization) test. This technique, based on the use of a flat cylinder penetrating at a constant rate into the material, allowed the authors to evaluate the local mechanical properties, according to pigment concentration.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
