Abstract
Forest fires constitute a serious problematic in the safeguard of integrity of the forest and wooded patrimony and the fauna in they included and in protection of the health and the safety of man. Surveillance of the woods and the forests today is entrusted to methods that are shown themselves defective in the singling out of fire in the beginning phases of its development and to allow such “precocious” survey it results effective the application of lidar technique. This work reports the activity carried out for the planning and assemblage of a complete, compact and transportable lidar system for the detection of a fire, in which is employed a Nd:YAG laser to the wavelength of 355 nm, a telescope in newtonian configuration and a fitting. Beginning from the lidar equation they have been analyzed singly the main terms which constitute it and have been meticulously estimated performances of reception system. Completed the planning it has been carried out the assemblage of the lidar, they have been performed testing measures in order to evaluate the system efficiency and to demonstrate the ability of the lidar at 355 nm to single out a fire.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
