The Authors review the literature concerning mandibular canine transposition and examine their clinical survey in order to establish a diagnostic protocol that permits an early therapeutic intervention.This protocol is based on the evaluation of the following parameters:inclination of mandibular canine axix,inclination of mandibular incisors axis and volume of mandibular symphysis.This study has also expanded knowledge about etiological factors and pathogenesis of this particular tooth anomaly.
