Workers involved in the determination of signal intensity due to interconnecting mobile telephones, may telephones may be at risk for exposure to high electromagnetic fields. In the present study we evaluated the exposure of these workers within their mobile work environment (a modified automobile) before and after the activation of their recording device. All measurement were within the range allowed by the present Italian legislation. However, when workers used mobile telephones within the automobile, the level of the electromagnetic field reached potentially harmful values for conversations lasting more than 6 minutes. For this reason we recommend a limited use of mobile phones within the recording automobile.

Abstract
Workers involved in the determination of signal intensity due to interconnecting mobile telephones, may telephones may be at risk for exposure to high electromagnetic fields. In the present study we evaluated the exposure of these workers within their mobile work environment (a modified automobile) before and after the activation of their recording device. All measurement were within the range allowed by the present Italian legislation. However, when workers used mobile telephones within the automobile, the level of the electromagnetic field reached potentially harmful values for conversations lasting more than 6 minutes. For this reason we recommend a limited use of mobile phones within the recording automobile.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
