This paper describes a novel application of microwave distributed structures. In particular, the possibility to realize a digital phase shifter using a traveling-wave configuration is investigated. The theoretical analysis of the component is carried out by means of the two-port image parameter representation. Closed-form expressions are derived, oriented to the design of the structure. The proposed approach is validated by numerical simulations obtained by means of a commercial CAD package.

Abstract
This paper describes a novel application of microwave distributed structures. In particular, the possibility to realize a digital phase shifter using a traveling-wave configuration is investigated. The theoretical analysis of the component is carried out by means of the two-port image parameter representation. Closed-form expressions are derived, oriented to the design of the structure. The proposed approach is validated by numerical simulations obtained by means of a commercial CAD package.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
