The term “conflict of interest” (CoI) is used in many different and often inconsistent ways, both by scholars and practitioners. CoI could be a serious problem and may lead to corrupt practices if it is not managed properly. CoI is still sometimes viewed as similar to corruption. But CoI cannot be considered as a crime. For that reason there is a need to improve and clarify the concept of COI in order to better resolve it when it cannot be avoided.

Abstract
The term “conflict of interest” (CoI) is used in many different and often inconsistent ways, both by scholars and practitioners. CoI could be a serious problem and may lead to corrupt practices if it is not managed properly. CoI is still sometimes viewed as similar to corruption. But CoI cannot be considered as a crime. For that reason there is a need to improve and clarify the concept of COI in order to better resolve it when it cannot be avoided.File in questo prodotto:
