Several methods to recover the T6 (somatic coliphage), MS2 (F-RNA phage) and B40-8 (phage of the Bacteroides fragilis ), were investigated. All the phages were seeded in sterile phosphate buffered saline (PBS). The membranes SM11107 in the presence of Mg and Al salts show a complete recovery of the B40-8 whereas for the other two phages the recovery is very poor. For T6 and MS2 phages with the other membranes the percentage is extremely variable going from O to a maximum of 65%, whereas for the B40-8 phage the maximum value is 6%. The ultrafiltration method, pretreating the membranes with 3% or 10% of beef-extract pH7.0, for B40-8 resulted in a recovery rate ranging from 75% to 100%.

Abstract
The ultrafiltration method, pretreating the membranes with 3% or 10% of beef-extract pH7.0, for B40-8 resulted in a recovery rate ranging from 75% to 100%.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
