This study, part of the Hephaestus European Project, delves deeply into the changing landscape of craft making, emphasizing the perceived skill and educational gaps present in the sector, to propose, in the future, innovative educational frameworks to bridge these gaps. The study’s methodology includes pilot interviews and a detailed questionnaire distributed among craft makers, which is aimed at drawing a cartography of skills and resources needed by craft-makers in different European ecosystems. Preliminary data reveals a significant gap in digital literacy, technological adaptation, and sustainable practices among craft professionals. Furthermore, it highlights the need for organizational expertise, encompassing aspects like business model innovation, marketing strategies, and customer relationship management, tailored to the dynamics of the craft industry. This research is aimed at contributing to the understanding of the contemporary craft sector's educational needs, with the final aim being the proposal of lifelong learning educational models aimed to fill these gaps.

Abstract
This research is aimed at contributing to the understanding of the contemporary craft sector's educational needs, with the final aim being the proposal of lifelong learning educational models aimed to fill these gaps.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
