Elena Randi and Elena Cervellati, members of the University of Bologna research unit, promoted and edited this volume as a contribution to the PRIN 2022 HYPERSTAGE project. The limited availability of open-access publications in Italy makes it difficult to automatically acquire and enter information into the Hyperstage knowledge base. The Bologna research unit therefore provided each author with a pre-printed form requesting essential metadata, a bibliography of the analyzed theatrical performance, and a concise report on the results of their studies. This enabled the data, materials and scientific documentation to be uploaded to the platform.
