The Sixth Workshop on Designing an Eel Data Call (WKEELDATA6) was held virtually from 31 March–01 April and 02–06 June 2025. Following WGEEL recommendations, the workshop up-dated the 2025 data call templates and tools for the Joint EIFAAC/ICES/GFCM Working Group on Eel (WGEEL), reviewed previous issues, and prepared for the upcoming benchmark. Sub-groups focused on refining data requirements for recruitment models (GLM/GEREM), develop-ing benchmark data call sheets, and improving data structures. Discussions included topics such as catch efficiency, time series quality, and unit standardization. Efforts were also made to har-monize vocabulary and referentials between current WGEEL and future databases, using tools like DATSU to ensure consistency and interoperability. A roadmap was developed to guide the finalization of the data call and data integration ahead of the WGEEL meeting.
