Cohesion policy is a constant in the literature of European regional sciences, which for some time now has been offering a markedly multidisciplinary perspective on the subject. This book, published by Elgar's Multidisciplinary Movements in Research series, serves to reinforce this trend. This issue would not be considered novel if it were not for the effort of the editors, who have facilitated the convergence of the visions and interpretations of academic and independent researchers. It is evident that this convergence underscores the significance of a comprehensive Cohesion Policy that is grounded in economic considerations, considers the needs of the territory, and is meticulously planned and programmed. Briefly, the concept pertains to geographical diversity, a pivotal key in the pursuit of cohesion.
