The article is focused on teacher training, a key and in part unresolved issue, linking it to the digital paradigm and its influence on training and professional profiles. The debate on teacher training has produced a vast literature that is now serving to imagine hypotheses for the development of processes oriented towards the digital organisation of the school system. This field of research is not new either, but the SARS-CoV-2 health emergency has made it more vital and urgent. In order to understand this debate, it is necessary to address the issue of teacher training in Italian universities, where a certain teaching and technological backwardness affects the preparation of future teachers. At the same time, it is important to think about the educational use of digital platforms. In fact, universities represent the link between the disciplinary preparation of future teachers and the maturation of psycho-pedagogical and didactic skills. Currently, the development of a proposal that integrates digital technology right from entry-level training has a great deal of room for improvement, even in the current situation envisaged by the measures contained in the DDL Bilancio/2019, which have profoundly downsized the previous training courses.

Abstract
