Through an analysis of the language of Colledara (1907) and Da Colleara a Firenze (1915) by the Abruzzese author Fedele Romani (1855-1910), this paper highlights further peculiaries compared to the multiples and – already known – manifestations of “verismo regionale”. In particular, both the regional marked elements and the Italian model proposed by the author will be emphasized: in the first case it will be specified whether it is a dialect or a hybrid dialect-Italian form, and any references to a series of repertoires for the correction of regional forms, compiled by the author himself, will also be highlighted; in the second case whether the author’s language, in the autobiographical narration, appears close to the typology of Tuscan use.

Abstract
Through an analysis of the language of Colledara (1907) and Da Colleara a Firenze (1915) by the Abruzzese author Fedele Romani (1855-1910), this paper highlights further peculiaries compared to the multiples and – already known – manifestations of “verismo regionale”. In particular, both the regional marked elements and the Italian model proposed by the author will be emphasized: in the first case it will be specified whether it is a dialect or a hybrid dialect-Italian form, and any references to a series of repertoires for the correction of regional forms, compiled by the author himself, will also be highlighted; in the second case whether the author’s language, in the autobiographical narration, appears close to the typology of Tuscan use.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
