The dynamic behavior is an important index to evaluate the seismic property and damage of ancient pagodas. Combining with the research of protection technology on Huqiu pagoda, this paper discusses the key points, schemes, and measures of improving test efficiency for applied ambient random excitation technology to determine the dynamic behavior of ancient masonry pagodas. The test scheme for Huqiu pagoda is verified by the results of finite element code ANSYS. It is believed that the present work can provide a reference for the test and research of similar ancient pagodas.

Abstract
