The purpose of this present research is to consider the concept of "traccia" and "scritta avventizia" drawing from a selection of texts which date back to the Origins of French and Italian territories. The study of such texts makes it possible to hypothesize the way in which they where first transcribed and reaffirms how they should be considered from a more complex point of view, especially regarding the relationships between those texts and the manuscriptsthat conserve them. It also in some cases permits us to identify a small tradition of copies.

Abstract

The purpose of this present research is to consider the concept of "traccia" and "scritta avventizia" drawing from a selection of texts which date back to the Origins of French and Italian territories. The study of such texts makes it possible to hypothesize the way in which they where first transcribed and reaffirms how they should be considered from a more complex point of view, especially regarding the relationships between those texts and the manuscriptsthat conserve them. It also in some cases permits us to identify a small tradition of copies.
