In this chapter, we explore how a posthuman stance can enable the understanding and design of work transformation in the human-robotic workplace. We focus on posthumanism in two specific and complementary ways. First, we embrace the research view of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari that is genuinely posthuman in its rejection of the transcendental vision of ‘human privilege’ in their philosophy (Daigle & McDonald, 2021). The basis of our framework is their metaphysics of change (Deleuze, 1968; Deleuze & Guattari, 1980), which we envision as a process-based organizational approach: that is, one which considers actions and decisions enacted over time and space (Langley & Tsoukas, 2016).

Abstract
In this chapter, we explore how a posthuman stance can enable the understanding and design of work transformation in the human-robotic workplace. We focus on posthumanism in two specific and complementary ways. First, we embrace the research view of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari that is genuinely posthuman in its rejection of the transcendental vision of ‘human privilege’ in their philosophy (Daigle & McDonald, 2021). The basis of our framework is their metaphysics of change (Deleuze, 1968; Deleuze & Guattari, 1980), which we envision as a process-based organizational approach: that is, one which considers actions and decisions enacted over time and space (Langley & Tsoukas, 2016).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
