Informatics Education for School: A European Initiative

In the age of the digital revolution, informatics must be developed as a fundamental discipline in school. But what steps can be taken to support the advancement of informatics education at school level across Europe, especially when responsibility for education is devolved to each individual country (and sometimes to regions within countries)?
