Women, university and academic research: a gender sensitive analysis on research products

The following study presents the final results of a research carried out within the Department of History, Cultural Heritage, Education and Society between 2018 and 2020 in Tor Vergata University of Rome; the study has two objectives: first, to explore the gender situation regarding academic positioning through collecting data form central University offices. The second goal of the research was to verify scientific production within the Department of History, Cultural Heritage, Education and Society from a gender perspective and to evaluate whether a female character could be identified in the scientific production of scholars, through a content analysis of the keywords indicated by the participants in the research together with the type of work. The results of the research confirm that science does not appear connoted according to gender, then the historical inequities that pass even in popular knowledge that science is male would be evident.
