The three extant Latin translations of the «Dialogo» were composed between 1385 and 1421 by the most influential members of her spiritual famiglia, i.e., Raymond of Capua (also her hagiographer), Cristofano Guidini and Stefano Maconi (both her secretaries and scribes). Abstract
This article offers an updated survey of the manuscript tradition and a perspective view on issues such as the signi- ficance for Dominicans trying to reach her canonization of presenting Catherine as a writer, and the reasons behind the decision to translate her mystical ma- sterpiece.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
