The problems related to double porosity homogenization were discussed. The homogenization process involved the analysis of energies defined on some highly oscillating connected sets. An energy density satisfying weaker coercivenesss conditions was considerered. The first rigorous resulkt for a linear double porosity model having been obtained by Arbogast, Douglas, and Hornung.
