Recent investigations in the area of the Saint Paul’s basilica on the Via Ostiense have led to the discovery of remains of the long porticus, attested for the first time by the sources of the sixth century; it connected the city to the sanctuary and was designed and built during the great works promoted by Theodosius I, Valentinian II and Gratian at the end of the IV century. This Building had a long life and was restored in the early Middle Ages. To complete the reconstruction of this portico on the basis of the archaeological evidence, geophysical surveys were carried out in the site, of which this paper intends to publish the results.
