Antigone e le altre : figure mitiche al femminile nei saggi di Margarete Susman

In Margarete Susman’s theoretical and political essays and studies, classical and mythological figures and characters such as Antigone, Pythia, Diotima and Undine become symbols for the women’s situation as well as for the broaden cultural and political and social sphere. This essay aims illustrate the symbolic reading of female mythical figures in Margarete Susman writings, focusing also on the connection between mythos and the cultural weight of maternal function.
