Migration is, to date, a crucial point on the agendas of scholars and policy makers. Within the context of international migration, there is no doubt that entrepreneurship – and, in particular, gendered entrepreneurship – as gained socio-economic relevance over the years; however, it seems not to have yet found a proper recognition within management studies. Indeed, still scant is the management literature taking into account the role of gender, and thus devoting attention to immigrant women entrepreneurship. Thus, aim of this paper is to fill this gap by conducting a systematic literature review and a bibliometric analysis of 83 rigorously identified academic articles, in order to map the field of management studies on the topic. In doing so, the analysis of the selected papers brings to light that academic research on this issue is still at a very infancy stage. Except for a few and locally circumscribed studies, the theoretical discussion on the intertwinement among ethnicity, gender and entrepreneurship still lags behind and much scholars’ effort is needed in order to give to this research issue the deserved attention in the field of management studies.

Abstract
Except for a few and locally circumscribed studies, the theoretical discussion on the intertwinement among ethnicity, gender and entrepreneurship still lags behind and much scholars’ effort is needed in order to give to this research issue the deserved attention in the field of management studies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
