The models of the discrete series of Belavin, Polyakov and Zamolodchikov may be generalized by allowing for suitable open-string sectors. The resulting open-string disk amplitudes have planar duality and proper factorization in the presence of a global internal Chan-Paton symmetry.

Abstract
