Tra storia, diritto e letteratura: insolvenza e fallimento in Honoré de Balzac

This essay underlines some aspects of bankruptcy law - that at the present time is subject to an ambitious and ample reform in Italy. It analyses these aspects through the special lens represented by the novels of Balzac. The conviction of the author is that – as in every great literary work - the Comédie humaine is endowed with a universal cognitive value of the reality and the problems concerning every man’s life. Therefore, the conviction of the author is that literature can play an important role to improve the education of lawyers and scholars, since it provides us with an aesthetical experience, which constitutes an experience of truth
