The whole-body vibration (WBV) training is becoming widely popular in fitness centers, sports and physical therapy to improve cardiorespiratory fitness, power and strength or bone mineral density. The WBV is not totally known as regards the effects, the indications and the contraindications, therefore it is really important to be careful before prescribing a mechanical vibration energy training. Cholelithiasis, which often remains asymptomatic for an indefinite time, is not reported into medical literature as a contraindication to WBV. This paper reports three cases of biliary pain following one session of WBV training in a patient with asymptomatic cholelithiasis.
