The effect of two different cooling rates on the fatigue behaviour of a AA 2014 T6 alloy is reported in this paper. The study has been completed by a microstructural analysis carried out by means of scanning electron microscope, aimed to put in evidence the effect of microstructural evolution on the fatigue behaviour. A poor effect of the coooling rate on both microstructure and fatigue is found in the analysed cooling rate range.

Abstract
