Introduction Coaching is a personal development method that provides specific support towards acquiring a higher degree of awareness, responsibility, choice, trust and autonomy. This application in Health Care is developed in Italy by IPACS (Institutional & Public Coaching Services) within a methodology that integrates Mentoring - Individual Coaching - Team Coaching - Classroom Training, and lasts about 6 months. The aim of the study was to demonstrate how an integrated Coaching program could have an impact on the development of soft and hard skills mainly related to inter-disciplinary roles, and positively influence the achievement of System objectives set in the National Chronicity Plan by the Ministry of Health. Materials and Methods An integrated program of Coaching was applied to 2 Teams of Institutional professionals (18 of ASL Roma 4 and 23 of the National Institute for Infectious Diseases L. Spallanzani in Rome). Corresponding author: Francesca Cioffi francescacioffi2@gmail.com Open access In particular, the objectives shared in the action plan for ASL Roma 4 were the Reorganization of the First Intervention Point on the Territory, and the Inclusion of the Family Nurse in the Community while for the INMI L. Spallanzani were the Improvement of Retention in Care and the Multidisciplinary Management of Fragile Patients with Chronic Infectious Diseases. The improvement in the core skills (Communication, Result Orientation, Teamworking, Negotiation) was measured with an Assessment pre and post Coaching program. Capacity development was defined as effective for an increase score of at least 0.5 and excellent for at least 1.5 points. Intermediate results in skills development were monitored with an observation template. An action plan monitoring was carried out through the IPACS Empowerment platform®.
