With a delay of fourteen years Italy, with legislative decree n. 34 of 2016, has finally incorporated Framework Decision 2002/465/JAI on Joint Investigation Teams. Although this discipline is basically faithful with the spirit and purpose of European legislation, there are significant inconsistencies and, in general, a lack of guarantees that implies some doubts about the future working of the new cooperation tool.
