Abstract

Guaranteed minimum income and labour law, simulations compared. The Italian case: the nature of the intervention between functional ambivalence and applicational ambiguity. The work is part of the literature on the provision launched at the beginning of the year with which the so-called citizenship income was established in Italy. Having looked at the (theoretical and practical) experiments with minimum income measures on the international scene, the study attempts to frame the specific nature of our local measure. It takes into account the gap between planned objectives and their concrete implementation in a context in which, on the one hand , the national picture, particularly unfavorable regarding public finance and severe depletion of active policy instruments, and, on the other hand, the change of perspective with regard to the working and social scenario for the coming years, strongly undermine the conditionality of the measure and alter the relationships between the two parts of the provision, with repercussions on the legal framework.
