Search for 7Li solar axion resonant capture has been carried out with different lithium fluoride targets (powder, sin-gle crystal). The targets were measured with low background HP Ge detectors at the Gran Sasso National Laboratories (LNGS) of INFN. The upper limit on the 7Li solar axion mass of 13.9 keV is set, that closes the unexplored space for axion mass between 14.4 and 16.0 keV. Improved results can be achieved with LiF(W) single crystal which is less con-taminated by U/Th daughters than the LiF powder. The backgrounds and the potential sensitivity of the experiment are discussed.

Abstract
