Abstract

Modern power systems is experiencing a reduction of the flexibility put at disposal of grid operator, due to different technologies involved into the energy processes. In this paper, an innovative flow battery storage system is proposed for the implementation of a microgrid providing flexibility to the power system. This scenario is enriched by an effective ICT platform in charge of controlling and optimizing the microgrid operation. © 2018 IEEE.
