New model-independent results from the first six full annual cycles of DAMA/ LIBRA–phase2 (total exposure of 1.13 ton × yr) are presented. The new improved DAMA/ LIBRA–phase2 experimental configuration ( ' 250 kg highly radio-pure NaI(Tl) with new HAMAMATSU high quantum efficiency photomultipliers and new electronics) allowed lower software energy threshold down to 1 keV. The DAMA/LIBRA–phase2 data confirm the evidence of a signal that meets all the requirements of the model independent Dark Matter (DM) annual modulation signature, at 9.5 σ C.L. in the (1–6) keV energy range. In the (2–6) keV energy range, considering all together the data of DAMA/NaI, DAMA/LIBRA– phase1 and DAMA/LIBRA–phase2 (total exposure 2.46 ton × yr, collected over 20 annual cycles with three different set-ups), the achieved C.L. is 12.9 σ. No systematics or side reaction able to mimic the exploited DM signature (i.e. to account for the whole measured modulation amplitude and to simultaneously satisfy all the requirements of the signature), has been found or suggested by anyone throughout some decades thus far.

Abstract
In the (2–6) keV energy range, considering all together the data of DAMA/NaI, DAMA/LIBRA– phase1 and DAMA/LIBRA–phase2 (total exposure 2.46 ton × yr, collected over 20 annual cycles with three different set-ups), the achieved C.L. is 12.9 σ. No systematics or side reaction able to mimic the exploited DM signature (i.e. to account for the whole measured modulation amplitude and to simultaneously satisfy all the requirements of the signature), has been found or suggested by anyone throughout some decades thus far.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
